I have a question for all of the candidates.
As a student in gifted education attending school in Matoaca, Virginia, the horribly lack of interest in funding gifted education is obvious. From under-funding, to under-staffing, Gifted Education has become the simple program required to redistrict kids to get failing schools better grades. It is evident that there is a problem when Gifted Education is less of a priority as Special Education. My question is, would you support State money going to support and expand Gifted Education programs across the commonwealth.
An education question, here in Blacksburg. Everyone talks about the place of the sciences and their importance for the future of the commonwealth, but I have a different question. How do we protect the Arts & Humanities? What role do you see them playing in Virginia's future?
